My diverse sporting background including high level ringette and rugby sparked a passion for physical fitness but something was missing. I always knew that nutrition played a critical role in fitness and health but my interest in nutrition was heightened after I completed my first (and only) body building competition. My focus shifted from all-or-nothing restrictive dieting to finding balance and nourishing my body to function optimally for sport and for life in general. My goal is to educate individuals on the importance of nutrition and balance in order to reach their goals and maintain healthy nutrition habits for the long term.
Amie has been teaching nutrition for over 10 years. Her passion for food and fitness started from her own struggles with weight after having her second child. She believes that eating well shouldn't be difficult, confusing or costly. Everyone has different needs and challenges and her goal is to help clients understand as much as possible about food. She teaches simple concepts such as how food works, when and what to eat so her clients can use food to help them reach your goals, not work against them. Food has a powerful effect on our health and well being, it's time to take control, get back to the basics and just enjoy our food again!
